Today is International Polar Bear Day!

February 27, 2023

International Polar Bear Day is an annual event celebrated every February 27 to coincide with the period when polar bear mums and cubs are sleeping in their dens and to raise awareness about the conservation status of the Polar Bear.

Polar Bears International organizes International Polar Bear Day to raise awareness about the impact of global warming and reduced sea ice on polar bear populations.

The day encourages people to find ways to reduce their carbon output, such as by turning down their thermostats or driving less. And to promote the installation of energy-efficient insulation in houses.

Please visit Polar bears international to learn about International Polar Bear Day and how you can help these beautiful creatures.
